The focus of NAWA USA, Inc. is the research and development of specific, physiological products and concepts that support and enhance the activity, regeneration and healing processes.

NAWA USA, Inc. conducted in collaboration with the University of MIAMI, Dep. Of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery, (William H. Eaglstein, MD, Professor and Chairman, Patricia M. Mertz, Professor Stephen C. Davis, Assistant Professor) successful following statistically significant studies in the sector of wound healing:

• Acute Partial Thickness Wounds
• Burns II.
• Incisional Wounds / Post Op. Wound Treatment
• Graft Take and Donor Site
• NAWA vs. Topical Growth Factor
• Fibroblast migration in an in-vitro incisional wound healing model

The study results have been presented at several national (US-American) and international congresses and symposiums.

Moreover the NAWA Heilmittel GmbH is partner in a grant project of the “High Tech Program for Bavaria, Master projects medical technology" with the emphasis on innovation, technical progress and the development of high-level medical technology.

The goal of the project is the development of a new wound dressing for an innovative wound healing system with anti-infective characteristics promoting actively the wound healing. This wound healing system consisting of a wound dressing and the wound healing solution has been led into the clinical phase with the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg.

Our research from the area of the collagen synthesis led to the development of the product line "StriaSan" for the prevention of stretch marks during pregnancy, contraction of developed stretch marks and to support the skin and tissue recovery after childbirth. 

The "activity" products were special developed by the high requirements from the professional sport.
